Community Sector Workforce Capability Framework
Office for the Community Sector (OCS), Department of Human Services, Victoria
What the client wanted
The not-for-profit sector is characterised by diverse kinds of organisations, some of which do not have well-developed human resources infrastructure. For these organisations recruitment and retention, performance management and career pathways are often a challenge. The
Office for the Community Sector identified the need for a resource to support HR across the sector.
What we did
State-wide consultations showed that a capability framework that describes good practice and sets out transferable skills would be welcomed, so we developed a flexible framework that Community Sector Organisations could take and contextualise to support their HR practices.
